Safety

Safety at Palzy

Meeting new people should feel exciting, not risky. Here's what we do to keep everyone safe, what you can do, and exactly how reporting works.

What we promise

  • Everyone is verified

Every member verifies a government ID and a selfie before their first plan. No verification, no plans.

  • Your number stays private

Palzy handles the introductions, so nobody gets your number unless you choose to share it. You don't have to, ever.

  • Public places first

First meets are always in public places: busy cafés, parks, venues. You can also ask for same-gender-only plans.

  • Report or block, anytime

Report or block anyone, at any time, before or after a plan. A real person on our team reviews every report.

  • AI, with a human check

Palzy is an AI. It suggests matches, and a person on our team reviews them before anyone is introduced.

  • Everyone says yes first

No surprise meetups. A plan only happens once everyone involved has said yes to it.

Meetup tips

Before you go

  • Check the plan details Palzy sends you: the place, the time and who's coming.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you're going and when you expect to be back.
  • Prefer to talk first? Ask Palzy for a video call before meeting in person.
  • Keep chatting through Palzy until you're comfortable. You don't need to share your number, address or workplace.
  • If anything about the plan doesn't feel right, change it or cancel. Just tell Palzy. No explanation needed.

While you're there

  • Stay in the public place in the plan. Don't move somewhere private on a first meet.
  • Arrange your own way there and back, and keep your phone charged.
  • Keep your drink and belongings with you.
  • Leave whenever you want. You never owe anyone more of your time.

Afterwards

  • Palzy will check in. Tell us how it went. Your feedback makes future introductions better.
  • Want to meet again? Great. You decide if and when to share your number.
  • If someone made you uncomfortable, tell us, even if it seems small. It helps keep everyone safe.

How reporting works

  1. Tell us. Text "report" to Palzy on WhatsApp, or email hello@textpalzy.com. You can report someone before, during or after a plan, or long after.
  2. A real person reviews it. Every report is read by a person on our team, not just the AI. We may ask you a few questions.
  3. We act. While we look into it, we can pause the other person's account. Depending on what happened, we may warn them or remove them from Palzy for good.
  4. You stay anonymous. We never tell the other person who reported them.
  5. We follow up. We'll let you know when we've taken action. If something serious happened, we'll help you with next steps, including going to the police, and we'll cooperate with them.

Blocking is instant: tell Palzy you'd like to block someone and you'll never be introduced to them again.
